The fixed jaw and movable jaw are the primary components of a jaw crusher, forming its core working chamber. The spacing between teeth is also crucial, often equated to the width of the discharge port, ensuring optimal processing efficiency. Ideally, the tooth height to pitch ratio should be within 0.5 to 0.33, promoting even wear and efficient crushing.
In operation, the lower section of the wear plate tends to wear out faster than the upper part due to direct contact with the material and greater force application.
